"Mind-Warpers of the Future"

Films: The Time Machine (2002)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area/Forest/Underground

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: In 1960, we saw the adaptation of H.G. Wells' prediction of the future. Now, we see it again, only this time things are...so and so. The plot is a lot different, certainly.

History: Somewhere in the future, would-be colonists accidentally blew up the moon...somehow. Whatever the case, many people retreated underground during the phenomena, while others stayed on the surface. Those who stayed became the peaceful Eloi, while those who went below became the fearsome and animalistic Morlocks. However, each Morlock clan has an Uber-Morlock, who controls them and prevents them from eating everything all at once. Then a time traveler shows up, looking to see if there is a way to truly prevent the past...because his fiancé died. Okay.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The time traveler kills the Uber-Morlock by separating him from the time machine’s temporal bubble, rapidly aging him to dust. This leaves the Morlocks without anything to control them, but the time traveler circumvents this problem by creating a time distortion bomb that eradicates them all. The Eloi are now free.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-The Morlocks by themselves look like absolute savages, and sure as Hell act the part too. As for the Uber-Morlock, Jeremy Irons' cold performance gives way to some chills as well. Whether they're scarier than their previous film incarnations is up in the air.

Trivia: -This film is responsible for killing the directing career of Simon Wells, H.G. Well's own great-grandson. He couldn't even be bothered to film the last quarter of the film, as it was handed to someone else.

-Originally, a third Morlock subspecies known as the Worker Morlock was going to be in the film, but presumably the budget took that out.
